Vicenza – the city of Palladio – has many porticoes. Of course there are not as much as in Bologna. Everybody is grateful for some shadow in the heat of July and August in Italy.

A shop, nearby the monumental cathedral of Vicenza, decorates its part of the portico in a very special way. It was eye catching and unusual. I liked the decoration with old chandeliers and lamps in front of the shop. I’m still sorry it was closed at the time I took the picture.

I constantly think about repurpose old things instead of buying new things! The whole idea to present the shop (Maison Mason, Contrà Giuseppe Garibaldi, Vicenza) in such vintage style is splendid and a kind of street art.
